  • Motorcycle Sales in Indonesia Rose Modestly in January 2018

    Based on the latest data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), motorcycle sales in Indonesia rose 1.8 percent year-on-year (y/y) to 482,537 units in the first month of 2018. Although it is only modest growth, it does give rise to optimism about the direction of domestic motorcycle sales this year, according to AISI Chairman Johannes Loman.

  • US Confirms Preliminary Anti-Dumping Duty on Indonesian Biodiesel

    Wilbur Ross, US Secretary of Commerce, stated that the US Department of Commerce issued an affirmative final anti-dumping duty on biodiesel shipments that originate from Indonesia. The statement was released overnight (21/02). The decision was made to improve the situation of local US biodiesel producers as their business was undermined by cheap biodiesel imports from Indonesia (and Argentina).

  • Solar Panel Producer Sky Energy Indonesia Is Finalizing Its IPO

    Solar panel manufacturer Sky Energy Indonesia is busy finalizing its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company will offer 203.26 million shares, equivalent to 20 percent of its total paid-up capital, to the public. Sky Energy Indonesia set its offering price in the range of IDR 375 - 450 per share, hence the company targets to raise between IDR 76.2 - 91.5 billion (approx. USD $6.4 million) through the IPO.
