Cement consumption in Indonesia, which has grown rapidly in recent years, has slowed down. In May 2013, domestic cement consumption grew 2.1 percent only, one of the lowest growth rates in recent years. Between January and April 2013, cement consumption had still grown at a pace of 8.6 percent (YoY). The lower growth rate reflects a slowing down in pace of infrastructure and real estate projects.
