11th Annual Roundtable Meeting on Sustainable Palm Oil
In response to the urgent and pressing international call for sustainably produced palm oil, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was formed in 2004 with the objective to promote the growth and use of sustainable oil palm products through credible global standards and engagement of stakeholders. RSPO is a not-for-profit association that unites the stakeholders from seven sectors of the palm oil industry - oil palm producers, palm oil processors or traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation NGOs and social or developmental NGOs - to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.
At the conference, delegates from across the world representing the various stakeholders and interest groups will convene and make the best of this platform to impart knowledge, voice opinions, share perspectives, deliberate, debate and formulate future plans that will further strengthen the RSPO's on-going efforts to achieve its targets.
The RSPO's tenth annual meeting in Singapore last year was attended by 800 delegates from 37 countries.
