President Widodo Reveals Interesting Details about Indonesia's 2019-2024 Cabinet
Yes, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who recently won the 2019 presidential election and will therefore guide the world’s largest Archipelago in the 2019-2024 period, said the composition of his new cabinet (which is scheduled to be inaugurated in October 2019) has been finalized. But, no, he has not mentioned any names of the future ministers.
Nonetheless, when local Indonesian media had the opportunity to meet President Widodo (and fire some questions at him) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday 14 August, there were some interesting answers related to the composition of his cabinet in the 2019-2024 period, including the establishment of two new ministries, the ratio of 'professionals' (or technocrats) versus 'career politicians' (from political parties), and the very young age of one future minister.
