New Index Investor33 Launched by Beritasatu Media Holdings and IDX
Beritasatu Media Holdings in cooperation with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) officially launched its Index Investor33 on Friday (21/03). This index consists of 33 listed companies at the IDX that share strong fundamentals, assessed through both technical and fundamental analyses. According to Hoesen, Director of Corporate Valuation at the IDX, the 33 companies have influenced the performance of the Jakarta Composite Index (Indonesia's benchmark stock index) considerably in recent years.
On 20 March 2014, the stocks of the 33 companies listed in the Index Investor33 had a combined market capitalization of IDR 2.403 trillion, or 51.65 percent of total market capitalization (IDR 4.653 trillion) at the IDX. The Index Investor33 is intended as an useful resource for fund managers.
The following criteria were used to select companies within the Index Investor33:
• The company releases its financial figures on time
• The company has been listed on the IDX for at least one year
• No adverse or disclaimer audit opinion letters have been released
• The company did not report a loss at the year of assessment
• Equity is at least IDR 50 billion (USD $4.4 million) and has been positive in the last two years
• The company's stocks are actively traded
• The company has more than 300 shareholders
• At least 20 percent of the company's stocks are publicly listed
In retrospective, the value of the current composition of the Index Investor33 has increased 245 percent since 2008.
